Web19. dec 2024 · Second, the same top-down modulation can trigger both a positive response and a negative response of certain populations of the circuit depending on the sensory input. Under which conditions can we expect one response or the other? In this study, we model cortical activity and provide a comprehensive answers to these two questions. WebThis study investigated top-down modulation of bottom-up attentional capture in children with autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs) and in a typically developing (TD) comparison group using a spatial-cuing task (Experiment 1) and a series of visual search tasks (Experiment 2) employing task-irrelevant distractors. toowoomba to beaudesert https://lifesportculture.com

Web1. okt 2024 · Here, we summarize recent findings on bottom-up and top-down factors that can modulate sensory processing and multisensory integration. We discuss cortical circuits that are responsible for modulation of multisensory processing based on recent rodent studies. We suggest that multisensory information is not a simple, fixed signal in the brain. WebFor the subsequent P1 component, attentional modulations were clearly expressed and remained unaffected by these deviations. Collectively, these results suggest that spatial attention, unlike load or task relevance, can exert dissociable top-down modulatory effects at the C1 and P1 levels.
