One important thing to remember is scope: Once your PowerShell script ends, any variables, PSDrives or the like cease to exist. To get around this, you can either run a .bat that will call the powershell script to bypass execution policy, as you did in testing, or you can add the script to the Task Scheduler and have it trigger on Logon.
